This error means your computer is using a volume license and trying to activate through a Key Management Service (KMS) server.
- If you're working remotely: Connect to your company’s VPN and wait a minute for the connection to fully establish. Then try activating again.
- If you're in the office: Make sure you're on the correct internal network, a wired LAN connection, not guest Wi-Fi.
Once connected, check if Windows activates automatically within a few hours. If not, you can manually trigger activation:
- Open Command Prompt and Run as administrator.
- Type:
slmgr /atoand press Enter.
This command forces Windows to activate. If successful, you’ll see a confirmation pop-up.
