Dear Microsoft Developer Program Team,

I am writing this to seek your kind support regarding the expiration of my Microsoft 365 Developer Program subscription (my subscription will be expired on November-07-2025). This program has been incredibly valuable to me, and I would be very grateful if it could be renewed or extended.

Over the past months, I have been actively using the developer resources to build automation workflows, Power BI reports, Power Apps, Sharepoint and integrate various online services within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. These tools have not only enhanced my technical learning but also allowed me to prototype and demonstrate practical business solutions.

The developer environment has been essential for my continued learning and development in the Microsoft Power Platform and broader ecosystem. Losing access would significantly impact my ability to continue experimenting, testing, and building end-to-end solutions.

Could you please kindly review and consider renewing my trial subscription ? below is my tenant information:

    Hi thang

Have a good day and I hope you're doing well!

Thanks for sharing your question in our Q&A Community! It sounds like the program has been a huge help for your learning and development, and we're glad you're reaching out for advice. As a forum moderator, I'll do my best to explain how renewals work based on Microsoft's public FAQ, so you can grasp the "how to" and take action yourself. If anything's unclear, feel free to ask more here!

From what I've seen in Microsoft's documentation, here's a clear breakdown of how to handle your renewal. I'll include key points from their FAQ and suggest steps you can take:

    1. Can You Extend Your Subscription When It's About to Expire?  The main way to extend it is by engaging in valid development activities like the ones you've described (building custom solutions, testing, etc.). If you're actively using it, Microsoft might renew it automatically. If not, it could expire and get deleted.

You should keep up your activity (e.g., create more apps or workflows) in the next few days, then check your dashboard on developer.microsoft.com to see if it's extended. Based on your post, you seem like a strong candidate!

User's image 2. How Does Microsoft Decide If Your Subscription Can Be Renewed?  They use algorithms and data from your usage (telemetry) in the program and your Microsoft 365 E5 developer subscription to check if you're actively developing. This gets reviewed periodically.

    • Log in to your Microsoft Developer account, review your activity logs, and ensure you're using tools regularly.

    3. Microsoft switched to a model where subscriptions renew every 60-90 days based on your activity, so active users like you can keep it going indefinitely. If it expires due to inactivity, you can just set up a new one. For longer-term access, try a free Visual Studio Professional or Enterprise subscription. It includes Microsoft 365 developer access for as long as your Visual Studio plan lasts.

Just a quick piece of advice from my experience: I strongly recommend backing up all important files, data, or configurations from your tenant at all times to avoid any data loss. Always backup for safety!

I hope the information I provided will be partially helpful or clarify the issue you're facing. If you have any concerns or questions, or if I misunderstood or anything is unclear, don't hesitate to reach out.
