I understand your frustration, having a pop up when you're trying to work can be distracting. If Copilot is getting in the way of your workflow, you can disable or remove it from Microsoft 365 apps following this guide: Turn off Copilot in Microsoft 365 apps - Microsoft Support:
- Open Word (or any Office app) > File > Options > Copilot
- Uncheck Enable Copilot > click OK and restart the app to test the behaviors
In addition, below is a guide if you want to disable or remove Copilot's features in Windows 11. These steps will stop it from getting in your way, allowing you to work on your documents. Your creativity should no longer be interrupted:
- Open Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > search for
Copilot> Uninstall all instances - Open Registry Editor (advanced method, use with caution):
- Press Win + R > type
regedit> press Enter - Go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows - Right-click
WindowsCopilotfolder > create a new DWORD (32-bit) Value - Name it
TurnOffWindowsCopilotand set value to1> click OK - Close the Registry Editor and restart your computer.
