"Memory Integrity Is Off"

I am using Windows 11 Home, MS 365 Personal. I am unable to turn on Memory Integrity.

1 Memory Integrity

When I do turn it on, it returns back to Off immediately and displays the following message:2 Incompatible Drivers

I have Show Hidden Files enabled and did a search for the above two Drivers, and they were not found. I also looked in \Windows\System32\Drivers and they were not there. This started when I updated to 25H2.

Assuming I can find these files on the Web for download, where do they go? There was another cumulative update this morning that I downloaded but those files were not present. The files are not at HP's Website.

Please assist and thank you.

    Hello LGLDSR73-6492,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum. It's my pleasure to help you today.

I understand that you are having issue with enabling Memory Integrity because of the 2 drivers. All drivers should be located in the location you searched for. However, if they are not there, they might be on another location or in another folder on the driver folder.

To fix this, please try and follow the steps to see if it works:

    • Update Windows.
      1. Go to Settings > Windows Updates to see if there are any updates will contain the fix for the driver.
    • Update driver
      1. Type "Device manager" on the search bar and press Enter.
      2. Since both the driver on the photo is USB related. You can try to find them on "Universal Serial Bus controllers", right click on all of them and select "Update driver".
      3. If it's not properly installed, you can see them in "Other"
      4. Restart your PC when it's done.
    • Reinstall driver
      1. Follow the steps on the previous method. However, please select "Uninstall driver" this time.
      2. Restart your PC and the driver should be automatically reinstalled.
    • Run SFC and DISM.
      1. Type "Command prompt" in the search bar and select "Run as administrator"
      2. Type these commands one by one:
        • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
        • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
        • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
      3. Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
      4. Restart your PC when it's done.

I went to Windows update yesterday, was told everything was up to date. No new file(s) locally as well.

You wrote "Since both the driver on the photo is USB related. You can try to find them on "Universal Serial Bus controllers", right click on all of them and select "Update driver".

    Ticket Error

No new Drivers for the above.

I ran the below and they completed fine.

    • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
    • Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
    • Scannow found errors and corrected them. Scannow found errors. The CBS Log is 10MB, to large to upload, and I cannot upload a .Zip file.

    MORE:

    C:\Windows\System32>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.

    Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.

For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at

windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline

repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.

    C:\Windows\System32>

Going to reboot now. THANK YOU for your help! More assistance needed.

    All the Best,

    LGLDSR73

Well, I rebooted and same problem. Would it do any good if I uninstalled and reinstalled Defender?

    Hello LGLDSR73-6492,

Thanks for getting back to us.

It's unfortunate to see that it didn't work for you. Regarding disable Defender, yes you can do so, but it should only be done temporarily. Turn it off for a long time might expose your PC to malware.

If that doesn't work either, we can perform an in-place upgrade on your computer so it can replace any faulting driver and revert the configuration to a working state.

Disclaimer: Let’s try performing an in-place install or in-place upgrade which will refresh your Windows files and operating system without removing files or applications. That being said, we always recommend that if you have important data, you should back it up before making large system changes. If you want to back up your data first, please do so. Once you are done backing up, you can follow the steps in the following guides:

How to run In-place upgrade in Windows 11 - Microsoft Community

Please let me know if there are any updates.
