Hi @Ishtar Terra,
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.
Thank you for reaching out to us. I truly appreciate the detailed information you’ve provided. Based on what you’ve shared, I’d like to suggest the following steps:
Method 1: Reset the App
Note: When you reset the Teams app, all app data will be deleted, including any personal settings you’ve configured.
- Type Settings in the search box, then select the Settings app from the results.
- Go to Apps > Installed apps, then type Microsoft Teams in the search box.
- Find New Microsoft Teams in the results, click the More options (...) button on the right, and select Advanced options.
- Under Reset, click Reset.
- Restart Teams.

Method 2: Delete the Files
- If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon on the taskbar and select Quit.
- Open the Run dialog by pressing Windows logo key + R.
- In the Run dialog, enter the following path and click OK: %userprofile%\appdata\local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams
- Delete all files and folders in this directory.
- Restart Teams.

Method 3: Use Microsoft’s Online Repair Feature
- Right-click the Start button (bottom-left corner) and select Installed apps from the pop-up menu.
- Find the Microsoft 365 or Office product you want to repair, click the three dots (...) and select Modify.
Note: This action will repair the entire Office suite, even if you only want to fix one app like Word or Excel. If you installed a standalone app, search for it by name.
- Depending on your Microsoft 365 or Office installation type (Click-to-Run or MSI-based), you’ll see the following options to proceed:
- Click-to-Run: In the How would you like to repair your Microsoft 365 and Office Programs window, select Online Repair > Repair to ensure everything is fixed. (Quick Repair is also available but only detects and replaces corrupted files.)
- MSI-based: In the Change your installation window, select Repair and click Continue.
