Hello - My computer updated from Windows 10 to Windows 11 - I really did not want to do that, but it just happened. Anyway, I find it takes a very long time to save a Word doc, PDF, images, anything at all since the change to Windows 11. It's very frustrating and time consuming. I have Norton 360 as virus protection, and that has never been an issue before. I have plenty of room on my drive. Every other action on the Computer works as expected. Thank you for any help.

Hello Beth M, Thanks for posting this in our community. Sorry to hear that you're experiencing delays when saving files after upgrading to Windows 11. I completely understand how frustrating and disruptive that can be, especially when everything else on your computer seems to be working fine.

To start, I recommend checking for any pending Windows updates. Sometimes, performance issues like this are resolved through cumulative updates. You can do this by going to Settings > Windows Update, clicking Check for updates, and installing any available updates. Be sure to restart your PC afterward.

Also, it’s a good idea to update your device drivers, particularly for storage controllers, chipset drivers, and SSD firmware. You can do this through Device Manager or by visiting your PC manufacturer’s support website.

I hope this helps improve your file saving performance.

    Kind regards,

    John Oli
