Hello,

I have several legacy credentials that I would like to import into my existing certification account.

Ask - How do I add my previous certifications / credentials to my current Microsoft account?

Best regards,

Michael Truitt

    Dear Michael Truitt,

You can consolidate previous Microsoft Learn/Certification achievements into your current Microsoft account by following the account transfer and certification linking process Microsoft supports. First, gather proof of ownership for the legacy account(s): the email address used for those certifications, exam IDs, dates, and any confirmation PDFs or transcript exports you have. Next, sign in to your current Microsoft account and open the Microsoft Certifications dashboard in the Microsoft Learn or Certification portal; use the support or account transfer request flow to submit a request to associate or transfer achievements from your old account to your current one. When you submit the request include the legacy account email, copies of transcripts or certificate PDFs, and a short explanation of why you need the transfer; this accelerates verification.

If you no longer have access to the legacy email, include as much supporting evidence as possible and indicate that access is lost so the support team can follow additional verification steps. After you submit the transfer/support ticket, monitor the email address on your current Microsoft account for any verification links or follow-up questions from Microsoft support. Once Microsoft confirms the transfer, your certifications and badges will appear under your current account profile and in your transcript. If any vendor-issued badges (e.g., on Credly) are tied to the old email, request a badge reissue or account merge through that badge provider while you coordinate the Microsoft-side transfer. Keep local copies of all certificates and exam receipts until the transfer is complete.

If this helps, please hit ā€œaccept answerā€ — thanks and good luck with the transfer šŸ™‚!!

    Best regards,

    Vivian
