I was previously using Windows 10 but have upgraded to 11. I use an excel spreadsheet from a trusted source on a regular basis and was able to unblock Macros while using 10. However I just cannot unblock Macros on 11. I have tried all the suggestions available but nothing seems to work. Can you advise what I should do as Windows 11 is not working for me. thanks

Hi Marion, Thanks for posting here in Microsoft Community, to unblock macros in Excel on Windows 11, try these steps.

First, Open Excel, Start Excel and open the spreadsheet you want to modify.

Then in the Trust Center, Click on File in the top left corner, Then Select Options after that Choose Trust Center from the sidebar, Click on the Trust Center Settings button.

In Macro Settings, In the Trust Center, click on Macro Settings, Select Enable all macros (not recommended, do this only if you trust the source). Then Check the box for Trust access to the VBA project object model.

In Trusted Locations, still in the Trust Center, select Trusted Locations then Click Add new location and choose the folder where your Excel file is stored after that Save and Restart then Click OK to save settings then Restart Excel.

Then Open Your File, open your spreadsheet again, and macros should now be enabled.

If it still doesn’t work, try checking your antivirus or Windows Defender settings as they might be blocking macros.

I hope this helps you out, let me know how it goes.

    Chard
