We have purchased Power BI Premium Per User (PPU) licenses in the UAE North region and have also enabled the Microsoft Fabric trial. Our current trial capacity is 4 capacity units (F4). We would like to upgrade our Fabric trial capacity to 64 capacity units (F64). However, we are unable to find the “Change size” option in the Admin Portal. Please advise how we can proceed with upgrading our trial capacity.

    Dear Shanija,

We appreciate your interest in exploring the full capabilities of Microsoft Fabric, and we’re happy to assist.

    Trial Capacity Upgrade Guidance

As of now, the ability to upgrade trial capacity directly from F4 to F64 may not be available through the Admin Portal interface. The trial is typically provisioned with a default F4 capacity, and resizing options for trial environments are limited.

To proceed with an upgrade to F64, we recommend the following steps:

    1. Contact Microsoft Support or Your Account Representative Reach out to Microsoft Support or your Microsoft account manager to request a manual upgrade of your trial capacity. Be sure to include your tenant ID, region (UAE North), and current trial details.
    2. Consider Provisioning a Paid Capacity If immediate access to higher capacity is required, you may choose to provision a paid Fabric capacity (F64 or higher) through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center or Azure portal. This ensures full control over sizing and performance.
    3. Monitor Feature Availability Microsoft is actively expanding Fabric capabilities. We recommend checking the Microsoft Fabric documentation and Fabric Community for updates on trial management features.

Let me know how it goes, and if this answer helps, feel free to hit “Accept Answer” so others can benefit too 😊 T&B, Domic.
