Dear @Luis Ribeiro - Crystal Clear Computer Training

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand how inconvenient it must be when a feature like the Loop icon, which was previously visible in Microsoft Teams desktop, suddenly disappears while still appearing in the web version.

To help me better understand the situation and assist you effectively, could you please share a few details such as:

1/ Could you please confirm whether your account is a work or school (This is an organizational account provided by a company or educational institution) or a Personal account?

Work or School: ******@company.com or ******@school.edu
Personal: ******@hotmail.com or ******@gmail.com (linked to Microsoft)

2/ If your account is a work or school account, are you the IT administrator?

3/ Which Microsoft 365 license do you have? Could you please provide a screenshot of your license details?

You can check this by going to office.com. Then navigating to Apps > Install Apps > Microsoft 365 apps > Click on Subscriptions.

4/ What version of Microsoft Teams are you currently using?

You’ll find this information under More Options (...) > Settings > About Teams.

User's image  5/ What operating system is your computer running? macOS or Windows? If Windows, which version (e.g., Windows 11 Pro, Windows Home)?

This will help us better understand the context and provide more targeted support. Any additional information will help us better understand and support you.

In the meantime, you refer to some workarounds to verify the issue:

Make sure your operating system and Microsoft Teams app are updated to the latest versions. Keeping your software current not only enhances performance and stability but also ensures compatibility with new features and helps protect against security vulnerabilities.

Option 1: Re-add the Loop app

Click the Add Apps icon, search for "Loop", wait a moment for the page to load, then select the Loop app.

Click on your profile picture > Sign out.

Close Teams completely in Task Manager, then reopen and sign in again.

Option 3: Clear the Microsoft Teams app cache

Clear the cache in Microsoft Teams to remove outdated or corrupted temporary files that may impact performance.

Note: Please be aware that this action will sign you out of all accounts. Make sure you're prepared to sign in again afterward.

    Option 4: Repair Teams app

Repair the Teams app to fix any corrupted files or configuration issues that might be causing the problem.

    Note:

If you proceed with this step, all app settings and saved login information will be reset. This means you may need to reconfigure your preferences and sign in again after the reset.

We recommend backing up any important settings or data beforehand, if possible.

Option 5: Check access and permissions (work or school account)

If you're using a work or school account and PowerShell confirms Loop is enabled. Please also check the Teams Admin Center to ensure the Loop app is allowed. These steps require IT Administrator privileges.

Note: If you’re an end-user, please coordinate with your IT (Global) Administrator to handle these steps.

    • Search for Loop and confirm its status is set to Allowed.

    Additionally, please make sure:

    • Your account has a valid Microsoft 365 license (e.g., E3 or E5) that includes Loop access.
    • The Loop app is enabled and not blocked by any app permission policies.
