Sir,

I have a small computer repair shop. If I give my shop details in the support column of oeminformation, will it be legal?

manufacture = my company

support phone = my phone no

support website = my website

    Dear Bapi,

    Regarding your question: yes, it is generally acceptable to populate the OEMInformation registry fields with your business details—provided that:

    You are the original system builder or service provider for the device.

    You are not misrepresenting your company as the official manufacturer of the hardware or software (e.g., Microsoft or OEM brands like Dell, HP, etc.).

    The information you provide (company name, support phone number, and website) accurately reflects your business and support capabilities.

    This customization is commonly used by independent system builders and repair shops to offer branded support contact details on devices they configure or maintain.

    If you are distributing systems commercially or at scale, we recommend reviewing the Microsoft System Builder License Terms to ensure full compliance with branding and support guidelines.

    Let me know how it goes, and if this answer helps, feel free to hit “Accept Answer” so others can benefit too 😊 T&B, Domic.
