MARS Client refuses to bring up drive from backup archive

We have a Windows 2022 server protected by MARS and it backs up 2 drives a c: and e: drive to the Azure Recovery Vault. The backup seems to be working, but we are unable to restore data from one of the drives. When we pick c: drive it mounts the volume and we can browse the contents, however when we try to browse the mounted e: drive, explorer freezes and provides a white screen. The only way to recover is to restart the computer. This leaves the recovery job running in the cloud.
Is this a known issue? What can be done to fix the backup archive?
