I requested quota increase for compute. I do not require this anymore, how to remove/reduce quota back to 0.

To reduce or remove your compute quota in Azure, you'll generally need to open a support request because Azure doesn’t currently offer a direct option to decrease the quota through the portal. Here’s how you can do it:

Go to the Azure Portal and navigate to the Help + Support section.

Click Create a support request.

For the Issue type, select Service and subscription limits (quotas).

Choose your affected subscription.

Under Quota type, select Machine Learning Service: Virtual Machine Quota or the specific quota type you wish to decrease.

In the additional details, explain that you would like to reduce your quota to 0 and provide any relevant context if necessary.

Finalize your request and wait for Azure Support to process it.

I followed the instruction on the bottom of the previous screen and landed on the Quota page as shown in the screenshot. The machine for which I want to reduce quota is "NCSv3", but there is no clear cut instruction here on how to reduce quota.

1. Issue type
   • Choose Service and subscription limits (quotas).
   • This choice is required for quota changes; other issue types won’t route to Quotas.
2. Subscription
   • Pick the exact subscription that holds the NCSv3 quota.
   • If you don’t see it, you likely lack rights on that subscription or you’re in the wrong directory/tenant.
3. Quota type
   • Select Compute – VM (cores/vCPUs) (wording may be “Compute VM cores”).
   • This is the only category that controls vCPU/series quotas for N‑series GPUs.
4. Region
   • Choose the region where the NCSv3 quota exists (e.g., Australia East, East US, etc.).
   • Quotas are per region; leaving this blank also disables Next.
5. Permissions check (common blocker)
   • You need one of these on the subscription: Owner, Contributor + Support Request Contributor, or Service/Helpdesk Admin (for some tenants).
   • If you lack rights, the button remains disabled even with fields filled. Ask a subscription Owner to grant Support Request Contributor or to submit on your behalf.
