Dear Azure Support Team,

I am currently enrolled in a 3-year BBA program at Manipal University Jaipur. I am trying to apply for the Azure for Students offer, but I am unable to complete the verification process and keep receiving an 'unable to verify' error.

My student email ID is: ******@mujonline.edu.in

Additionally, I am also enrolled in the GitHub Student Pack, but still unable to activate Azure for Students. Please guide me on how to resolve this issue or let me know if any additional documentation is required.

Thank you for your assistance.

@Prabhat Kumar I hope you are doing well,

    Please follow this steps:

    1. Clean retry - the “works most often” path
    2. Open a fresh InPrivate window and sign out of every Microsoft and GitHub account.
    3. Go to the Azure for Students offer and click Apply now. Sign in with the Microsoft account you want to own the subscription. Verify using your school email.
    4. Make sure you actually meet Microsoft’s eligibility checks: age 18+, enrolled at an accredited higher-ed institution, and verification via your school email.
    5. If you have ever redeemed Azure for Students before, you cannot get it again on another account. It is strictly one subscription per person.

Note: GitHub Student Developer Pack and Azure for Students are separate. Having the GitHub pack does not auto-approve Azure. Azure still verifies you through your school email.

    1. If you still get the verification error

Pick the situation that matches what you see.

    • “Unable to confirm your University ID” / “We are unable to complete your verification” This means Microsoft could not validate your school domain or the verification provider rejected the docs. The fix that works: ask the verification provider to reset your attempt, then re-verify with the correct school name and a clear document (student card or enrollment letter). Microsoft moderators regularly direct students to have the provider void/reset the attempt so you can try again.
    • Wrong tenant or account confusion If you tried with multiple Microsoft accounts or tenants, do the clean retry above. Avoid being signed into a work/organization tenant in the same browser profile during signup. Microsoft’s own guidance is to start from the offer page and follow the flow with the right account.
    • Country or region mismatches Make sure your Microsoft account profile and offer region align. Region mismatches can block sign-ups across Azure offers.
    1. Escalate to Microsoft if it still fails

You can open a Billing and subscription management support ticket and ask for help enabling Azure for Students on your account. Billing/subscription support is included for all Azure customers.

How: open the Azure Support page and file a request for Subscription management → Account → Azure for Students verification.
