I recently installed VS2019, but after installing the Intel Fortran compiler as an add-on, when I reopened VS2019, it displayed “failed to load correctly'IntelGfxDbgPackage”(see the picture). The ActivityLog.xml file shows "Failed to load the file or assembly 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.Threading, Version=16.10.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the specified file."1

Thanks for reaching out! This issue can often be related to missing dependencies or conflicts between the installation of the Visual Studio components.

    Update Software

Ensure both Visual Studio 2019 and Intel Fortran Compiler (ifort) are updated to their latest versions.

    Repair Visual Studio

Open Visual Studio Installer and Select Visual Studio 2019 and Click Repair.

    Reset Corrupted Settings

    Navigate to: C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\VisualStudio\16.0_<random>\ActivityLog.xml

    Delete or rename ActivityLog.xml.

    Check Extensions

Disable or uninstall any recently added extensions that might conflict with Intel tools.

    Clean Reinstallation

Uninstall both Visual Studio and Intel Fortran Compiler.

Reinstall Visual Studio first, then Intel Fortran Compiler.
