    Hi,

Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 remains supported through January 13, 2032, as you correctly mentioned.

However, non-IoT LTSC editions(like Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019) reached end of support in January 2029, and the generic support message may appear if the OS incorrectly identifies itself as one of those builds.

Please verify your exact build version by running winver or using PowerShell:

Get-ComputerInfo | Select WindowsProductName, WindowsVersion, OsBuildNumber

If it reports Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 (Version 21H2, build 19044), then rest assured your system is still within full support.

If the message persists, try running Windows Update → Check for updates to refresh the support metadata, or use the Windows Licensing Diagnostic Tool (slmgr /dlv) to confirm your license channel is IoT-specific. Occasionally, systems activated with the wrong key (for example, an Enterprise LTSC key instead of IoT LTSC) can trigger this false alert.

You don’t need to take any drastic action your OS will continue receiving updates as expected once the correct metadata syncs.

I hope this clears things up! If this explanation helps resolve your concern, please click “Accept Answer” so others can benefit from the clarification as well 😊

    Best regards,

    VP

    Hi Enrique Corchado,

Each LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel) release is a separate OS build — not something you upgrade to via Windows Update.

There is no Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 22H2 — the latest LTSC release for Windows 10 IoT Enterprise is 21H2. (Released in late 2021, supported until 2032.)

If you’re currently on an older LTSC (e.g., 2016 or 2019) and want to move to 21H2, you must perform an in-place upgrade using installation media for Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 (21H2) — not through Windows Update.

    • You can obtain the ISO from the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) or Microsoft’s OEM portal, depending on your license type.
    • Mount the ISO, then run setup.exe → choose Keep files and apps → proceed with the upgrade.

If it helps with your concern, don't forget to accept the answer (not vote), so that the community could benefit from. Thank you :)

    Vivian
