Hi @ilay shemi ,
Thanks for reaching out!
After researching, Secure Boot depends on a few conditions:
- UEFI Boot Mode must be enabled (Legacy/CSM mode will block Secure Boot).
- Windows must be installed on a GPT-partitioned disk. If your OS uses MBR, enabling Secure Boot will fail.
- Secure Boot keys need to be loaded in BIOS.
- Outdated BIOS firmware can also cause issues.
If any of these are misconfigured, the BIOS may prevent saving changes.
Here's a few steps you can check out:
1. Check BIOS Settings
- Disable CSM (Compatibility Support Module).
- Switch Boot Mode to UEFI.
- Look for an option like Install Default Secure Boot Keys and apply it.
2. Verify Windows Installation
- In Windows, run
msinfo32→ Check BIOS Mode (should be UEFI) and Secure Boot State. - If BIOS Mode shows Legacy, your disk is likely MBR.
3. Convert MBR to GPT (No USB Required) (Optional)
- Use Microsoft’s
mbr2gpt.exetool from Windows Recovery or Safe Mode.
4. Update BIOS
- Download the latest BIOS for your motherboard from Gigabyte’s support page.
For step 2 and 3, I recommend you search them with keyword like below for better details:
- Secure Boot won’t work until converted to GPT.
- Convert MBR to GPT without data loss.
You can also try searching: "How to enable Secure Boot for Battlefield 6" or things similar to that. I find there are a lot of articles or videos that cover this with tutorial so please give it a try.
Note: Since you are searching in third-party websites. Do not download any strange links or entering any personal information.
Hope this helps! If you have any questions, please leave a comment blow!
