    Dear @Timothy Liew,

I’m truly sorry for the disruption you’ve been facing with your Bluetooth headset, especially when you use your mic for calls and daily work. Thank you for your patience and for the steps you’ve already tried.

From what we’re seeing, this is not an isolated case. Many users have reported the same issue after the latest Windows 11 update, and this looks like a known limitation in the latest Windows 11 release affecting Bluetooth audio/mic behavior.

One of the most effective ways to speed up the fix is to report this issue directly to Microsoft using the Feedback Hub app. Every report helps Microsoft prioritize the problem and release a patch sooner. Please follow the Microsoft Official Guide here: Send feedback to Microsoft with the Feedback Hub app

Moreover, Microsoft will be releasing patches for Bluetooth and microphone issues. Keeping your Window updates enabled ensures you’ll get the fix automatically as soon as it’s available.

Otherwise, if rollback remains an option for you, and you need stability urgently, you can also consider rolling back the recent Windows update while waiting for the fix: Please follow the Microsoft Official Guide here: How to uninstall a Windows Update

While Microsoft is working on a fix, the fastest and most effective way to troubleshooting this now is to engage Microsoft Support so they can run deeper diagnostics and apply targeted patches.

    Please contact Microsoft Support:

Note: Please be reassured that you are not alone, I’ll continue to monitor this case and will reach out to you with any new updates as soon as possible.

I hope this information is helpful. Thank you for your patience and your understanding.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. I'm looking forward for your reply.

This is a pretty bad bug and it limits many of us to working properly, especially in customer communication.

For some, I might have a workaround: if the Headset also comes with a Dongle, use this. Then the connection is not via BT, but through the Dongle. In this case it works.

For the BT connection I have the same issues and they do not seem resolved yet.
Will connect MS support about this soon as well.

Is there anywhere, we can track the bug issue to get updated, when there is a patch available?

    Thanks!

    Christoph

Adding this as an answer as well as a comment for visibility for others. I can confirm that removing KB5066835 and the removing and re-adding my Pixel Buds 2a has resulted in the buds now working. I can't get the Bose QC 35 II to work, and not tried the older Pixel Buds Pro because they aren't the ones I actually wanted to use. So it looks like KB5066835 is the culprit, and I'll have to wait and see if KB5070773 fixes things or not. I don't want to leave the system at risk by not having updates installed, but when the updates break stuff randomly then what choice do I have?

Another option suggested on a Reddit thread might also help:

Open Bluetooth & devices > Devices and find the option for "Use LE Audio when available" and switch this off (reboot required). If you do not have this option then look for the "Bluetooth devices discovery" option and switch from Default to Advanced. This solution was posted a year ago so clearly the bluetooth audio implementation has been broken for some time.

Prior to the headsets not working at all, I was also having issues with the Pixel Buds 2a only working on one side. Disabling LE helped that problem. Not ideal because of course the batteries will run out sooner, but until Microsoft, or whoever they push the blame onto, fixes their broken nonsense I have to do whatever I can in order to be able to still make calls.
