Need to increase the number of free-tier Static Web Apps per subscription

Hello,

I’ve reached the limit of 10 Static Web Apps in the Free tier for my Azure subscription.

I have an active Developer Support Plan but the Azure Portal doesn’t allow me to open a technical support ticket for this service. It only redirects me to Microsoft Q&A.

I need to know if there’s any way to increase the quota of Static Web Apps (Free SKU) beyond 10 per subscription, or if Microsoft can manually extend this limit for my tenant.

If not, please confirm whether creating additional subscriptions is the only supported workaround to deploy more than 10 free Static Web Apps.

Thank you, Xavier

    Hi @Xavier Casals Virosque

Thank you for reaching out about increasing the number of free-tier Static Web Apps per subscription.

Azure limits each subscription to 10 Static Web Apps on the Free tier, and this limit cannot be raised, even with a Developer Support Plan.

To use more Free-tier apps, you will need to create additional subscriptions, as each one allows up to 10 Static Web Apps.

Alternatively, upgrading to the Standard SKU gives you the ability to manage more apps within a single subscription, along with higher quotas and production-level SLAs.

    Hi Xavier,

Documentation only says to contact support if you need more apps on Standard plan, so I'm unsure if they will allow you to increase Free plan limit. My guess is they will not, but you can try.

In the past there have been cases where documentation didn't mention ability to increase a limit, however, when I submitted request they increased it. There is no charge to make request.

Please use my instructions below to submit quota increase request. They work fine even if you have Basic or Developer support plan.

Please let me know if you have any issue creating case in a comment below and I will assist further.

Please carefully follow instructions below to create a new Service and subscription limits (quotas) request to increase quota for Static Web Apps.

    1. Navigate to this link to start the process:

    https://portal.azure.com/#create/Microsoft.Support

    2. Enter quota in the box and click Go

    5. Select Issue type: Service and subscription limits (quotas), Subscription: <subscription that needs quota increase>, Quota type: Other Requests, click Next

    6. On Additional details tab. Enter description for your request

    7. Finish filling out Additional details tab, click Next, review and click Create. You should receive an automated email within a few minutes.

Please click Accept Answer and upvote if the above was helpful.

    Thanks.
