Users report that the Start Menu freezes intermittently, especially after waking from sleep. It affects usability and forces hard resets. This started after the August update

    Hi Hilton Brenn,

This issue has been reported by other users as well and appears to be linked to recent system changes affecting shell responsiveness. In the meantime, we recommend the following temporary steps:

Ensure all cumulative updates post-August are installed via Windows Update

Try restarting Windows Explorer via Task Manager when the freeze occurs

Disable Fast Startup under Power Options, which may help reduce sleep-related issues

Let me know how it goes, and if this answer helps, feel free to hit “Accept Answer” so others can benefit too 😊 T&B, Domic
