Hi There,
Even though you’ve added GitHub to your Trusted Sites, Excel may still block the add-in due to a Windows security feature called Mark of the Web (MOTW). When files are downloaded from the internet, Windows tags them as potentially unsafe. Excel respects this tag and may continue to block the add-in, regardless of your Trusted Sites settings.
Here’s What You Can Do
Unblock the Add-in File
Right-click the downloaded .xlam or .xll file.
Select Properties.
If you see an “Unblock” checkbox at the bottom, check it.
Click Apply, then OK.
Add the Folder to Excel’s Trusted Locations
Open Excel.
Go to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Trusted Locations.
Click Add new location.
Select the folder where the add-in is saved.
Check “Subfolders of this location are also trusted”.
Click OK, then restart Excel.
Enable Macros (If Needed)
In the Trust Center, go to Macro Settings.
Choose “Enable all macros” (only if you trust the source).
Also enable “Trust access to the VBA project object model” if required.
Let me know if you’d like help walking through these steps or if the issue still persists after trying them.
