The built-in “Fix problems using Windows Update” tool crashes or freezes on multiple machines. This prevents us from resolving update-related issues. It started after the latest cumulative update

    Hi,

Since this behavior began after the latest cumulative update, it’s possible that a component of the update is interfering with the troubleshooter’s functionality.

As a workaround, we recommend using the Windows Update log (Get-WindowsUpdateLog via PowerShell) to manually review update errors, or running the DISM and SFC tools to check for system file integrity. You can also try resetting Windows Update components manually using a script, which may help restore normal behavior.

We’re actively monitoring similar reports and will share updates as more information becomes available. If you’d like help reviewing logs or applying the workaround, we’re here to assist.

If my answer is useful for you, please vote for it.

    Best regards,

    Quinnie Quoc.
