Hello mike thomas ,
Thank you for posting your question in Microsoft Q&A Forum.
If you’re using Microsoft Authenticator but still see “Manage your MFA” and no resources in the Azure portal, it usually means your account doesn’t fully meet the new MFA enforcement requirements introduced on October 1, 2025.
Why this happens:
- MFA is registered but not enforced under the new policy.
- Conditional Access or tenant settings require re-registration.
- Directory mismatch or stale MFA session.
Steps to Resolve:
- Verify MFA Status:
- Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center.
- Go to Users > Multi-Factor Authentication and confirm that MFA is enabled for your user account.
- Complete MFA Setup:
- If MFA is already enabled, open the Microsoft Authenticator app and ensure you’ve completed the full setup process (account added and verification done).
- Check Organization Policies:
- Review your organization’s MFA enforcement or Conditional Access policies to make sure your authentication method (Authenticator app, phone, etc.) meets the requirements.
- If the issue persists:
- Contact your tenant administrator to confirm that your account’s MFA configuration is correct and that you have the necessary permissions to access Azure resources.
If you still can’t access resources, please let me know.
