Dear @BexBlu59Q,
Thank you for contacting Microsoft Q&A.
According to what I’ve found, macOS 26 introduces deeper integration with iOS devices through the iPhone Mirroring feature. In some cases, this feature may mistakenly intercept app launches, especially if the same app (like Teams) is installed on both your Mac and iPhone. This can cause the system to prioritize the iPhone version via Mirroring instead of launching the native Mac app.
Here are a few steps you can follow:
- Disable iPhone Mirroring on your Mac:
- Go to System Settings > Desktop & Dock
- Scroll down and turn off “Use iPhone Widget”
- Disable iPhone Mirroring on your iPhone:
- Open Settings > General > AirPlay & Continuity
- Toggle off “iPhone Mirroring”
- Revoke Mirroring access:
- On Mac: Open the iPhone Mirroring app > Settings > Revoke Access
- On iPhone: Go to Settings > AirPlay & Connectivity > Revoke Access
- Restart both devices to apply changes.
Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.
I hope these steps help you get Teams working properly again. If you run into any issues while trying the steps, or if something still doesn’t feel quite right, please don’t hesitate to reach out again. I’ll do my best to support you however I can.
Looking forward to hearing back from you with any updates or additional details.
Warm regards,
