Dear @Mariana Kroupová,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Forum.
I understand you are looking for settings to hide attendee names in Teams webinars recordings due to privacy reasons. This is a very important and valid concern when hosting large events.
Unfortunately, currently, Microsoft Teams does not allow you to automatically hide attendee names in the recording of a webinar or meeting. If names appear in the video (e.g., in the gallery view, chat, or participant list briefly shown on screen), they will remain visible in the final MP4 file. There is no built-in feature to anonymize or remove them after the fact.
However, you can prevent names from being shown during the live event, which is the best way to ensure they are not captured in the recording:
1.Attendee Masking
This setting prevents attendees from seeing each other's names in the chat, participant list, or on video tiles.
- When scheduling the webinar, go to Meeting options → Participation.
- Turn on Hide attendee names (often labeled as "Attendee name masking").
- Ensure Who can present? is not set to Everyone (it's best to choose specific presenters or "Only me" to maintain control).
- Save the settings before the event starts.
Note: The Attendee Name Masking feature is part of Teams Premium. The organizer must have a Teams Premium license to enable this specific attendee name masking feature.

2.Administrator PowerShell
Your administrator also has the option to enforce this feature via PowerShell commands for all webinars within the organization.
For administrators, the -AttendeeIdentityMasking parameter in the CsTeamsMeetingPolicy cmdlet controls whether your users can hide attendee names in their meetings and webinars.
To enable -AttendeeIdentityMasking, so attendee names are always hidden in meetings and webinars that organizers with this policy create, run the following script:
Set-CsTeamsMeetingPolicy -Identity <policy name=""> -AttendeeIdentityMasking Enabled
Note: You must be an Admin to run this PowerShell command. If you are not the Admin, please reach out to your administrator to assist you.
