Outlook for Mac -"Send to OneNote" has suddenly stopped working

I have a basic O365 account which I use with my Mac Mini. Up to late last week, I could create notes from events or emails using the "Send to OneNote" button in Outlook.

As of late last week, I cannot save notes from Outlook events or emails. I get an error:

We're sorry. We couldn't create your page. Please try again later.Details

Error: Failed request with status 404-. Response headers: {}

Nothing has changed with my configurations - this problem just popped up on its own.

I have managed to capture logs (see below) which seem to indicate some sort of problem with Sensitivity Labels. However, my O365 account does not support Sensitivity Labels . The logs seem to confirm this, but nevertheless it looks like the integration is now trying to load them anyway (and failing)

I have tried the "Send to Onenote" function on the web version of Outlook, as well as on a PC. The same issure occurs in each case so it does not look like an issue with my Mac setups.

Has anyone else come across this problem?

    The issue is consistent across all platforms (Mac, PC, Web), confirming the fault is not because of your local configuration.

    While waiting for Microsoft to deploy an update, you can try these workarounds to maintain your workflow:

    1. Print to OneNote: Use the Outlook Print function and select the Send to OneNote virtual printer.
    2. Drag & Drop: Drag the email message or calendar event directly from your Outlook item list into the desired OneNote section.
    3. Direct Copy-Paste: Select and copy the content from Outlook, then paste it directly into OneNote.
