Hey, I would like to know if Azure Maps is or isn't supporting address local subdivisions (within SearchAddress mostly), meaning that address number has "B" suffix to it.

When I try to search for addresses like that either by Azure Maps or Bing Maps address I got in result skips the subdivision. Do i need to use some additional options or its not available at all?

    Hi Folks,

Both Azure Maps & Bing Maps do not support "Interior" addresses. From what I see the building address is "1111 s governors ave, dover, de, USA, 19904" and there are multiple businesses within the one building such as "Unit B" which is also likely written as 1111b for shorthand. If by "subdivision", you mean Suite, Box, Unit or Apartment number within a building, that is considered an interior mapping and not supported.

However, if there is a street called 16b Avenue, this would be supported as it is an exterior reality. For example, there is a public address of an apartment for sale at "15392 16a Ave, Surrey, BC, Canada V4A 1S9". In Surrey, you can see the streets are 16th Ave and then 16a Ave, then 17th Ave and so on. In this case the "a" is part of the exterior or building address and is supported within Azure Maps & Bing Maps.

I hope that clarifies the differences.

    Sincerely,

    IoTGirl
