If a current supported Office version its associated with an MS Account used/created when first activated/installed and you re-install via that MS Account, depending on licence you may need to de-activate the prior install first.

As for Pro Plus depends on version and exact licence type

    Hello!

If your license only supports one device at a time, you must first remove your Office license from the old computer.

If it's linked to your Microsoft account, go to your account > Devices > Remove the old computer. This might help:

    https://account.microsoft.com/devices

    Other details I need:

    • Did your license come in a box or with an activation code? Or on a DVD?
    • What error appears when trying to enter the key?
    • Is your Microsoft email linked to Windows and Office?
