Im facing issuse of SQL Server Express 2022 software installation in Laptop

Laptop condition and Specifications

Hp Brand new laptop with window 11 pro, 12th generation,corei5 with 8GB RAM its not more than 2 years age

Error pop during Installation below

Installation progress its failed to install

The following error has occurred:

"Wait on the Database engine recovery handle failed. check the sql error log for potential causes"

This four status showing Failed

  1. Full-Text and semantic Extractions for search,
  2. Polybase query services for external data,
  3. Database engine services and
  4. SQL server replication

Can you any of one slove my problem?

    Hi Ibrahim,

    This error is typically caused by disk sector size incompatibility, corrupted service accounts, or leftover files from previous installations.

    1. In the command prompt, run as Administrator and use this command:
      fsutil fsinfo sectorinfo C:
      Look for PhysicalBytesPerSectorForAtomicity. If it's greater than 4096, apply this registry fix

    *REG ADD "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\stornvme\Parameters\Device" /v "ForcedPhysicalSectorSizeInBytes" /t REG_MULTI_SZ /d " 4095" /f

    Then restart your laptop and try installation again.

    1. Even if you haven’t installed SQL Server before, remnants from failed attempts can cause issues.
      Uninstall all SQL Server components via Control Panel > Programs and Features. Delete these folders:
      C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server
      C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server and then try installing it again This will help you troubleshoot the root cause and help you fix the issue. If you still face any problem let me know. Regards,
