iOS enrollment with Intune

Hello

I have a question. I am implementing Intune for personal iOS mobile devices, but I see that if I do it through web enrollment or the company portal, it does not generate a partition and applies blocks to the entire app or mobile device. I saw another type of enrollment called user-controlled, which says it creates a work partition (according to me, as an Android user). I followed all the steps, but it gets stuck in a loop when the account is entered. I created several cases with Microsoft, but they don't know much about the subject. I don't know if anyone knows if Intune for iOS is actually capable of creating a partition like Android does, and if so, how?

    Hi @Daniel Herrera - ExperTech

To answer your question: No, iOS does not create a visible “work profile” like Android Enterprise Work Profile.

    • Apple's User Enrollment for personal devices in Intune provides a similar data separation, but it's not a separate partition that you can see. Apple user enrollment with Company Portal has been deprecated as an enrollment option and is no longer available for newly enrolled devices.

Here's a blog that explains in detail about the current available methods to enroll an Apple device in Intune: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/intunecustomersuccess/understanding-apple-enrollment-methods-in-microsoft-intune/4434586

If you’re running into a specific enrollment issue, share the error details (don’t include Personally Identifiable Information) and I’ll help troubleshoot.
