    Hello !

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Learn Q&A.

You need to go to the Azure portal and note your billing account, subscription ID, and invoice numbers and verify the spending limit is ON for the student subscription or stop all resources if it shows pay as you go and delete any running services or marketplace items, and set a 0 budget alert because the expedited refund limit reached blocks self service,

Then create a support request and attach screenshots of invoices, cost analysis (last 30/90 days) and subscription details.

    Hello PRABAKARAN KRISHNAMOORTHY,

If you are being charged while using an Azure for Students account, it usually happens because you have gone beyond the free limits. The student account gives you $100 credit and access to certain free services for 12 months. Using more than these limits can lead to charges.

Another reason could be that your student credit has expired. After 12 months, the free credit ends, and if you continue to use Azure services, your account may switch to a Pay-As-You-Go subscription, which will be billed.

Sometimes, accidental subscription changes or upgrades can also cause charges if usage exceeds the free benefits.

To resolve this, check your remaining credit and usage in the Azure portal or Azure Sponsorships portal. If you feel the charges are incorrect, contact Azure Support they can review your account and help with refunds or adjustments.

The recommended approach is to open a support case with Microsoft. However, before doing so, it's important to stop any active services to avoid incurring charges. Microsoft clearly outlines its trial policy: if services such as Azure are not stopped before the trial ends, your account will begin to incur charges using the payment method provided during the trial subscription.
