    Hello Amy Smith,

Thanks for reaching out. If Microsoft Publisher won’t open and the repair prompt doesn’t work, here are a few things you can try that have helped others:

    1. Check for Office Updates Open any Office app (like Word), go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now. Keeping Office up to date can help prevent compatibility issues.
    2. Use Online Repair Instead of Quick Repair Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, select Microsoft 365, click Change, and choose Online Repair. This method is more thorough and often resolves deeper problems.
    3. Try Opening Publisher in Safe Mode Press Windows + R, type mspub /safe, and hit Enter. If it opens this way, the issue might be related to add-ins or templates.
    4. Run System File Checker Open Command Prompt as Administrator, then type sfc /scannow and press Enter. This will check for and fix corrupted system files that could be affecting Publisher.
    5. Reinstall Office if Needed If none of the above work, you might need to uninstall and reinstall Office from your Microsoft account.

Let me know if any of these steps help or if you’re seeing any specific error messages. Warm regards,
