Password Reset

Here’s what your cousin should do:

Use the official password reset page: Go to https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com. Enter the account email (e.g., <Mod remove PII> @ <Mod mask PII> 45xxxx.onmicrosoft.com).

Check for recovery options:

If the account was set up with an alternate email or phone number, Microsoft will send a code there.

  If not, it may prompt for security questions.

  
  **Contact Microsoft support**: If no recovery method is set up, the only option is to contact Microsoft 365 support directly: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

  
  **If it’s a developer (Visual Studio / Microsoft 365 Dev Program) account**:

  
     Go to the Microsoft 365 Developer Program portal.

     
        Sign in with the same account and use the recovery flow.

        
           If still locked out, reach out via the support link there.
```👉 Only the account owner (your cousin) can go through this process — nobody else can reset it on their behalf.

Forum contributors can't access your account details. However, the local admin in your organization should be able to reset the multi factor authentication. Any one from [the] admin group can help to disable MFA.

That is correct, but you won't reach those individuals here. It must be solved from within the organization/business.
