    That message usually means the System Test wasn’t launched from a logged‑in OnVUE session, so the results can’t be recorded. Try this:

    • Start from your Pearson VUE account while signed in: open your exam appointment and click “Run system test” there. Don’t use a bookmarked link or an old installer.
    • When prompted, download the OnVUE app and run it immediately. Confirm it shows your name/appointment on launch.
    • Use a supported device: Windows or macOS only (Chromebooks, Linux, tablets aren’t supported).
    • Network: avoid VPN/corporate networks and proxies; use a home network or personal hotspot. Close firewalls/security tools if allowed.
    • Close background apps (messaging, screen sharing, backups, cloud sync) and unplug extra monitors.
    • macOS: grant Camera, Microphone, and Screen Recording permissions to OnVUE (System Settings > Privacy & Security). If blocked by Gatekeeper, right‑click the app > Open.
    • If the button is missing or it still won’t record: sign out, clear browser cache, try Chrome or Edge, re-download a fresh OnVUE installer from your appointment page, or try a different device/network.
