Can I recover deleted Azure Disk ?

Deleted Azure Disks cannot be restored unless a backup or snapshot exists.

• If Azure Backup or snapshots were enabled before deletion, you can restore.
• If no backup/snapshot exists, the disk is permanently lost.

Check Backup Center, Recovery Services Vault, or snapshots. If none, data can’t be recovered.

To better assist you, could you provide a bit more detail?

1. Is it an azure managed disk or azure storage disk?
2. Are you trying to recover data from a virtual machine or just the disk itself?
3. When exactly was the disk deleted?

If these are Azure Storage disks, please follow the steps below.

1. Check for Backups: If you had Azure Backup enabled for the disk, you can restore it from there. Here are useful links on how to do that:
   • Restore from a disk backup
   • Restore from a VM backup
2. Look for Snapshots: If you had created any snapshots of your disk, you can recreate the disk from those snapshots.
3. Data Recovery Limitations: If none of the above options are available (no backups or snapshots), unfortunately, the disk data is permanently lost.
