I encounter "The requested operation requires elevation" error message when tried to install app in Windows, despite I am login as administrator.

Is there any solution to fix it, thanks

    Hi,

This issue typically occurs when the application or installer requires elevated privileges beyond standard administrator access. To resolve this, we recommend right-clicking the installer file and selecting “Run as administrator”, which explicitly launches the process with elevated rights. Additionally, ensure that User Account Control (UAC) settings are not overly restrictive by navigating to Control Panel > User Accounts > Change UAC settings, and adjusting the slider to a moderate level.

If the issue persists, check whether the administrator account is subject to Admin Approval Mode, which can be modified via Local Security Policy > Local Policies > Security Options. You may also consider creating a new local administrator account to test the installation.

For further guidance, you can refer to Tech News Today’s troubleshooting guide.

    Best regards,

    Quinnie Quoc.

Thank you Quinnie, I still couldn't solve the issue as still pop up the UAC screen requires me to input an admin username and password. Because I am the only admin(Global Admin) and user for the working account orginazation, I entered the email and password also reset password multiple times never works.

It's been very frustrated as tried to contact Micorsoft yet never get success. Don't know what went wrong on my account (see attached screenshot). Also watched some youtube troubleshooting video yet it always stuck in the first UAC step.

May I ask how to access the "Admin Approval Mode" mode as you mentioned ?
