Hello, I'm Jan and I'm happy to help you today. To address the issue, try the following suggestions.

    • Try to run the Windows update troubleshooter. Then check for Windows Update again. Windows update troubleshooter
    • If you have any third-party antivirus or malware removal tools installed, fully uninstall them using the official uninstall utilities provided on their support websites. Once removed, you may reinstall and update them if necessary.
    • Press the Windows key + R Then type in services.msc click OK Find and locate Background Intelligent Transfer Service Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service Then click Start. If it's in running status already Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service Click restart.
    • System file corruption can also cause these update issues. Try to scan system files using the system file checker. System file checker

    Run Windows Update troubleshooter:

Settings > Update & Security (or System for Windows 11) > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters (or Additional troubleshooters), select Windows Update.
