APIM Basic v2 Developer Portal shows azure-api.net instead of custom gateway domain

We have an API Management instance on the Basic v2 tier.

Our gateway custom domain is correctly configured and healthy (for example: https://<custom-domain>).

However, the Developer Portal still displays the default *.azure-api.net URL in the API documentation and “Try it” console, instead of our custom domain.

Steps we tried:

  • Republished the Developer Portal
  • Cleared browser cache and service worker
  • Verified DNS and certificate configuration

Impact:

  • Developers copy the wrong base URL from the portal
  • Leads to integration issues when the expected custom domain is not used

This looks identical to the Standard v2 bug described here: Issues with custom domains in APIM Standard v2

Could Microsoft please confirm that Basic v2 is also affected, and associate this with the same internal fix?
We’d also appreciate an ETA for rollout of the fix in our region.

    Hi @Cato Van Wezel ,

Please find the summary of our discussion in private messages.

The Developer Portal still displays the default *.azure-api.net URL in the API documentation and “Try it” console, instead of our custom domain. This is a known issue, and we are working on it. Timeline on the fix are not clear at this time. But we can get the issue resolved by requesting internal team.

Also, you are not using custom domain at this time and will try again later. Please do let me know if issue occurs again.

    Hope this helps.
