Hi,
It sounds like your issue is related to the spanned volume created in Disk Management. When you combine multiple disks into one large logical drive using Windows Dynamic Disks, the data is spread across all disks without redundancy. Unfortunately, if there are sudden power outages, it can sometimes corrupt the Logical Disk Manager (LDM) metadata or the NTFS file system, which may cause the remaining space to show as RAW.
Here are a few steps you can try:
- Do Not Format the RAW Space
Avoid initializing or formatting the disk, as this may overwrite important recovery data.
- Reactivate the Disk
- Open Disk Management.
- Right-click on the dynamic disk showing the issue.
- If the option "Reactivate Disk" is available, select it. Sometimes this can restore the volume without data loss. Hope this helps! 😊
