2025-09-07T03:32:34.97+00:00 Hi Mandi,
Based on your description, it appears that the Dell firmware update may have interfered with Windows Hello PIN authentication, which is not uncommon after certain BIOS or TPM changes. When this happens, Windows may default to password-based authentication for domain-linked accounts.
Since your account is managed through GoDaddy as a Microsoft 365 reseller, password resets must be handled through their admin portal or via their delegated management interface. Unfortunately, attempting to reset the password directly through the Microsoft Account site may not work for domain-based accounts, which explains the error message you encountered.
We recommend contacting GoDaddy support directly to initiate a password reset from their end. If you have admin privileges within your organization’s Microsoft 365 tenant, you may also be able to reset the password via the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, provided you're signed in through an alternate device.
Additionally, if BitLocker is enabled on your device, please ensure you have access to your recovery key before making any changes to login credentials or authentication settings.
