Hi Rahul Deshmukh
Thanks for raising this. Based on the error and your description, a few points to check:
- Roles required to view Data Products – Purview Data Products are only visible to users who have at least Collection Reader or Domain Reader permissions in the Unified Catalog, and also need to be explicitly added as Data Product Subscribers. Having Fabric workspace Contributor/Member access is not sufficient on its own.
- 403 error – This indicates the user’s account is missing the right Purview Catalog role assignment. Double-check in Purview → Access control (IAM) that the business users have been granted Reader access at the right Collection/Domain scope, and that they can browse assets in the Unified Catalog.
- Next step – After assigning the correct Catalog role, ensure the users accept the subscription (if required). Only then will the Data Product be visible in the Purview portal.
Could you confirm if the business users have been added as Data Product subscribers in addition to their Collection/Domain level permissions? That’s usually the missing piece in this scenario.
