Did you checjk with HP to see if win10 is supported on your device as it maynot be, and in any case Win10 goes out of support eoy

I keep getting error messages when I try to update my windows 8 to windows 10 HP 2000 Notebook PC the error is 0x800072F8F - 0x20000. I also get a Windows Update error 800072EFE and 8008005. When I try to sign into my Microsoft account, I get a network server error, or it states try again. I want to use my Microsoft account on startup, but it isn't working, and I can't get any of the apps to open. I can't sign into my account when I use Microsoft Edge also, I hope someone can help me.

Volume Z 790 Reputation points Volunteer Moderator2025-08-27T19:32:06.8166667+00:00 Microsoft servers require the TLS 1.2 protocol enabled, but Windows 8 does not enable TLS 1.2 by default and not officially enable TLS 1.2 by update. But you may install KB3013767 to fix error 800072EFE.
