I was just on a meeting and when I tried to turn my camera on, the image was distorted and upside down. I had to restart my computer to correct it. Is this an issue other people have experienced?

Troubleshooting Camera Issues on Mac for Teams

    Check App Permissions

Make sure Microsoft Teams has permission to access your camera:

    • Go to System Settings > Security & Privacy
    • Under Privacy, select Camera
    • Ensure Microsoft Teams (work or school) is checked

Adjusting Camera Settings in Teams on Mac

Click your profile picture (top right) > Settings

    • Go to Devices
    • Under the Camera section, select your preferred camera from the dropdown
    • Choose Open Camera Settings (if available)
    • Look for options like:
    • Automatically adjust camera controls
    • Adjust brightness
    • Soft focus
    • Green screen
      • Preview video feed

Note: If your camera feed appears upside down and no rotation option is available within Microsoft Teams, it may be necessary to use a virtual camera application - such as OBS Studio or Snap Camera - to adjust the orientation before the video is transmitted to Teams.

This fixed the issue for me:

Under the Teams Settings --> devices
Change the camera to "MacBook Pro Camera"

The default setting of "MacBook Pro Desktop View Camera" causes the problem. Then restart the computer.
    change camera
