Azure Data Share not working after updating schedule

We have data shares (sent shares) created in couple of our Azure subscriptions. It had been working up till Friday. We updated the scheduled time a few hours back and expected to see the change on Saturday. But when I look at the history, I do not see any new records for Saturday nor Sunday (today). I see no errors. I even have an alert setup and that has not fired either.

Any help or direction would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

    Hi Nimesh Raj Manandhar,

Thank you for reaching on Microsoft Q&A portal.

Based on your description, there might be issue with schedule update, can you please double check below things:

    Verify the Schedule Configuration

    Double-check these settings:

    • Time Zone: Ensure the schedule's time zone is correctly set. Azure Data Share uses UTC by default, so if you set the time for your local time, there may be a mismatch.
    • Start and End Times: Confirm that the Start time is in the past and the End time is in the future. If the end time is set for an earlier date, the schedule will not trigger.
    • Frequency: Make sure the frequency (e.g., "Daily") is correctly selected.

    Manually Trigger a Snapshot

To confirm that the data share itself is still working correctly, manually run a snapshot.

Navigate to your sent share in the Azure portal.

    • Go to the History tab.
    • Click Run Snapshot.
    • Choose the full snapshot option.
    • If the manual snapshot completes successfully, the issue is definitely with the schedule, not the data or the share configuration.

    Validate Alert Configuration

    • Go to Monitor > Alerts
    • Ensure the alert is scoped to the correct Data Share resource
    • Confirm it’s configured to fire on snapshot success/failure

Test the alert by triggering a manual snapshot

    Recreate the Schedule

If the schedule's settings appear correct but it's still not triggering, the best solution is to recreate it. This often resolves any underlying inconsistencies.

    • Navigate to the Schedules tab for your sent share.
    • Select the current schedule and click Delete.
    • Click Add Schedule to create a new one.
    • Configure the new schedule with your desired frequency and time, being mindful of the time zone.
