How can I access my calendar & OneDrive on wordstogo.com address?

Microsoft recognizes *@hotmail.com and *@outlook.com but is not recognizing my @wordstogo.com. I used to be able to, but now cannot, access my calendar on my laptop. Calendar is accessible on my cellphone. Also, my "memories for the day" in OneDrive are viewable but not accessible. Calendar and photos are not accessible on my two outlook.com addresses. I wonder, is there a solution for that? Any thoughts?

Hello Harriet. To view your calendar and OneDrive documents using your @wordstogo.com address, you need to ensure that your email is a full Microsoft account, and not just simply added as an email alias. The Microsoft calendar and OneDrive workplace only recognizes accounts that go through the Microsoft identity system fully and completely. If this @wordstogo.com address worked before and does not work now, this can be because the account is never fully converted or the account association has changed in recent updates.

    Follow the steps below:

    1. Visit account.microsoft.com and attempt to sign in using your @wordstogo.com address.
    2. If prompted, go through the steps to turn it into a Microsoft account.
    3. On your laptop, go to Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts.
    4. Remove the @wordstogo.com entry under "Accounts used by other apps."
    5. Then click Add a Microsoft account, and re-add your @wordstogo.com email.

If added appropriately, your calendar and OneDrive content should sync again. If your "memories for the day" emails show you previews, but do not open, it is also likely that this is a case of account mismatch, and your OneDrive is linked to a different Microsoft identity than the one you are signed in to.

    Best regards,

Hello Harriet. Thanks for getting back. Your @wordstogo.com email address cannot be removed from “Accounts used by other apps” in Windows Settings because of how Microsoft works with custom domains and identity caching. If the email has ever been used as a Microsoft account or joined as a Microsoft 365 tenant, Windows has probably cached it as a connected identity even after you have been having issues accessing it. It does not allow you to delete it when you right-click, and the best course of action is to manually remove the cached identity through the Windows Registry. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\IdentityCRL\StoredIdentities, locate the folder matching your wordstogo.com address, and delete it. This deletes the stored credentials and will let you re-add the account fresh. When you restart your computer you can attempt to access your calendar and OneDrive again at account.microsoft.com or outlook.live.com.

    Best regards,

Hello Harriett. You're welcome. The recent inability to access your calendar and OneDrive with your @wordstogo.com email is probably due to Microsoft recently starting to enforce (as of August 2025) passwordless authentication and to clean up earlier (legacy) accounts. If this email was previously connected to an earlier Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), or if 'complete' registration with a full Microsoft account was never performed, then in some situations it may not re-instate (re-authenticate) properly on certain devices. This is why you have access on your phone still (or it may still be using cached credentials), and why it doesn't work on your laptop. The calendar and OneDrive content is probably still intact for now, but if you exceed your OneDrive storage quota (and remember you are paying $1.99/month), you will not be able to upload or edit files.

The quota situation could be related to the two shared folders in your OneDrive, and the three months provider for the one subscription offer that you have not logged into. With respect to the quota issue, do the following: Ensure your @wordstogo.com is registered as a 'full' Microsoft account at account.microsoft.com. For the next steps, you need to disconnect it from 'Access work or school' in settings in Windows, then re-add it under 'Email & accounts' as a Microsoft (MSA) account. Next, go to onedrive.live.com to check how much storage you are actually using. At this point, empty your Recycle Bin. Finally check your subscription at account.microsoft.com/services. If this issue persists even after 48 hours later, my option left is for your to contact Microsoft Support (with screenshots) and ask them to manually refresh your quota for you.

Note: You have to be logged in and enter a keyword then the " Chat " will show up.

    Best regards,
