Same with me. Enabled the magnifying glass, but clicking on it just gives a flash of a window which then exits. Other windows app store apps behave the same broken way: including whatsapp. Just today. Before rebooting, before updating, and of course after several reboots and updates.

Thanks for reaching out, Martijn. Before we proceed, did you already restart your PC?
I recommend running Windows Update first. Open Command Prompt as administrator and run sfc /scannow. Then open Task Manager, go to Processes, select Windows Explorer, and press Restart.
Open Settings, System, Troubleshoot, Other troubleshooters, and run the Search and Indexing troubleshooter. These steps solve most Start and Search issues in Windows 10 22H2.

i'm running 22H2, 19045.6216. Sfc found no problems
I used to be able to run windows search, by clicking start, then typing. That no longer works. The first letter I type, the start menu goes away. Doesn't matter what. tried uninstall, help, cmd and more. Type the first letter, and the start menu goes away. Likewise, clicking on the magnifying glass on the taskbar flashes a window, that goes away too fast to read.
