Some taskbar icons become generic if they are pinned. How do I fix this?

Some of the pinned icons in my taskbar are generic so I don't know what the app is unless I hover over it. How can I fix this?

    Hi Alexander, this is Kimberly, I'm glad to assist you today.

    You can often revive them with a few fixes.

    Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.

    Find Windows Explorer, right-click, and choose Restart.

    This can immediately refresh icons.
