Hi Buddy Soubra,
Thanks for reaching out here in the Microsoft Q&A. I can understand the inconvenience this issue has caused you. To help resolve this issue, please follow the steps outlined below:
Method 1: Reset Via Another Admin Account
This method requires knowing the password for another admin account.
- Log in to that account (in Safe Mode if needed, using F8).
- Go to Control Panel > User Accounts.
- Select your locked account and reset the password.
Method 2: Built-In Administrator Account
Windows 7 often has a default Administrator account that may not have password or might use a different one you remember.
1 - Restart the computer and boot into Safe Mode:
- Press F8 repeatedly as the computer starts (before the Windows logo appears).
- Select Safe Mode from the Advanced Boot Options menu.
2 - Look for an Administrator account on the login screen.
3 - Try logging in without a password or with any known passwords.
4 - If successful, go to Control Panel > User Accounts to reset your account’s password.
Method 3: Password Reset Disk
If you previously created a password reset disk, you can use it to reset your password.
- At the login screen, click Reset Password (appears after a failed login attempt).
- Insert the password reset disk (USB or floppy).
- Follow the wizard to create a new password.
