Assistance Needed to Revert Automatic Meeting Processing in Outlook

Hi,

I am reaching out for assistance with a setting in Outlook. Currently, the appointments that others send me are automatically added to my Outlook calendar. I had configured this to happen automatically, but now I would like to revert to the previous mode where I receive each notification and can manually accept or decline the invitations.

Despite following the recommended steps, I am unable to change the settings back to manual processing, and the appointments continue to be added automatically.

Could someone kindly help me resolve this issue?

    Hi Lucia Castillo1,

Good day to you! Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community.

In order to prevent meeting to be processed automatically and added to Outlook calendar, I recommend trying the following steps:

    1. Disable automatic processing of calendar invitations:
      1. In Outlook, go to File > Options > Mail > Tracking
      2. Uncheck "Automatically process meeting requests and responses to meeting requests and polls"

    1. Modify calendar settings:
    2. In Outlook, go to File > Options > Mail > Calendar > Automatic accept or decline
    3. Select Auto Accept/Decline

    1.  Uncheck "Automatically accept meeting requests and remove canceled meetings.

By adjusting these settings, you'll regain control over which invitations are added to your calendar.

If you need further assistance or encounter any issues, feel free to reach out. We’re here to help!

    Hi,

Thank you very much for your response and for taking the time to assist me.

Before reaching out to the community, I had already searched online for ways to regain control over my calendar, and I had previously tried both of the recommendations you kindly shared. Unfortunately, they haven’t resolved the issue in my case.

To illustrate this, I’m attaching screenshots taken today that show my current settings, which match your suggestions exactly. Despite this, the issue persists and I’m still unable to prevent meetings from being automatically added to my calendar.

I’d really appreciate any further guidance or alternative solutions you might be able to offer.

    Best regards,
