I cannot find any option in Microsoft Loop Web (Preview) version to change the grammar/spell check language. It checks for English but I need to change it to german. Especially as it automatically changes stuff I write.

Any way to change that?

Thanks for the feedback.

    Hello! trusty_SG

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community

I understand that you need to change your language for grammar and spelling in Microsoft Loop Web/Online. Allow me to ask:

    • I would like to know what @domain and who is hosting your email account? example for @domains: Gmail.com, Yahoo.com, Outlook.com/Hotmail.com
      • May I know if the account is for Work/School use? or Personal (Hotmail/Outlook.com) use?
    • Is this also happening to other browsers? And devices?
    • What error message are you getting?

To change the grammar check language in Microsoft Loop for Web/online, please follow these steps:

    1. Open a new or existing document in Microsoft Loop for Web/online.
    2. Click on the "Review" tab in the top menu.
    3. Click on the "Language" button in the "Proofing" section of the ribbon.
    4. Select "Set Proofing Language" from the drop-down menu.
    5. In the "Language" dialog box, select the language you want to use for grammar and spell check (in this case, German).
    6. Click "OK" to save your changes.

Once you have changed the language, Microsoft Loop will automatically check your grammar and spelling in the selected language. If you continue to experience issues with automatic changes, you may want to review your AutoCorrect settings to ensure they are set up correctly.

    I hope it helps!

    Thank you,

This solved this problem for me, where so many other suggested solutions across the internet did not. Thanks.
